Seating furniture

The Bronze Age saw the first appearance of proper chairs. Although people undoubtedly spent most of their time in daily life or at work sitting on the floor in a squatting position, upholstered and decorated seating, wooden chairs made from tree trunks, and ingenious folding chairs heralded a new era. These small chairs were suitable for both children and adults and were also easy to carry.
